Walwa Community Shop

Walwa Community Shop is open three days a week. The shop offers a little bit of everything from second hand clothing, bric a brac, shoes and a large collection of books. Run by local volunteers, they also supply free fruit and vegetables from excess supplies from local gardens. Walwa Community Shop was established by a group of volunteers keen to advance and support healthy ageing in their rural community. Its main objective is as a drop-in centre for people to come in and have a chat, coffee and pick-up some bargains. All profits go back into the community. A visit to Walwa can be enjoyed as you tour throughout the magnificent Upper Murray region. The River Road follows the Murray River upstream from Albury Wodonga for a leisurely one and a half hour drive. This touring route is popular with caravanners and motorcycle touring clubs. Access to Walwa via Holbrook, Tumbarumba and Corryong. This is the ideal place to learn what Walwa has to offer from a well informed local.
