The area surrounding Staverton is ideal for horse riding. It takes in spectacular views of Mt Roland. There are bush tracks, quiet roads, horse trails and uncharted bush, traversing mostly private property and Crown Land. Staverton is located about a one-hour drive from Cradle Mountain, a 30-minute drive from Devonport and ten minutes from Sheffield.
The rides take in the area bounded by the triple peaks of Mt. Roland, Mt van Dyke and Mt. Claude, the Forth River and Lake Barrington.
